Naples Florida – Scuba Outfitters of Naples will officially open on Saturday, January 31, 2009, signified by a Grand Opening Celebration from 12 Noon to 7pm. (Schedule of Events)
Michael Thompson, John Blake, James Chandler and Joe Ballarino created Scuba Outfitters of Naples. With a combination of extensive scuba diving, over 2500 dives, and dive training experience, over 1000 students trained, the team is more than qualified to assist Naples area scuba divers and those who would like to try scuba diving enjoy the sport they love.
The grand opening celebration will be a multifaceted event. Free food and refreshments, discounts on merchandise and training, special dive trips and hourly prizes will be offered all day intertwined with educational and fun events. Learn to use dive computers, about PADI education, thermal protection and try out Oceanic’s new Data Mask, with heads up display in the indoor heated pool. Yes, bring a swimsuit and towel, non divers will have a chance, at no cost, to try on the gear and breathe under water!
According to the management team, one of the keys to success of the shop is building a true community of local divers, a place they can call home. A free local dive community (www.ScubaOut.com) site has been up and running for a few weeks now and boasts nearly 70 members. A dive club featuring educational events and social activities will be a focus of the dive shop.
