The SCUBA OUTFITTERS OF NAPLES/ PADI Rescue Diver Course will enable you to be a safer and more valuable dive buddy. PADI Rescue Diver in an integral step toward the coveted PADI Divemaster or PADI Master Scuba Diver ratings.
Challenging and rewarding best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence.
What you will do:
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken.
You’ll cover:
• Self-rescue and diver stress
• Emergency management and equipment
• Panicked diver response
• In-water rescue breathing protocols
• Egress (exits)
• Dive accident scenarios

• Rescue Diver Manual
• Rescue Slate
• On site heated pool
• Certification Card
• Student Training Package
What you will need:
• First Aid and CPR certification
o The Emergency First Response course offered at Scuba Outfitters easily fulfills this requirement, plus you will learn to use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and oxygen.
• Pocket Mask
• Complete SCUBA Equipment
o Regulator and Gauges
o BCD
o Appropriate Thermal Protection
o Mask, Snorkel, Booties, and Fins
Class Schedule:
The Rescue course meets twice a week for three weeks. The time will be split between classroom time to discuss different rescue concerns and techniques and pool work actually practice how to conduct proper rescues. The course ends with a two days on the beach conducting four full rescue scenarios.
